Corporate Social Responsibility
For over 130 years Weston Foods has been a proud Canadian company and has donated a percentage of its profits back into communities across North America where its employees and customers live and work.
Each year Westons' donates more than 1% of pre-tax profits to not-for-profits in the form of both cash and in-kind donations. Funds are mainly directed to charities that help children enhance their physical activity levels or improve their knowledge of healthy eating habits. In 2013, over sixty organizations received funding and 14,500 children and youth joined sports or nutrition programs because of our funds.
Also, since 2010, Weston Foods employees have raised funds to benefit selected charities in their own communities that support children, as part of the Weston Cares employee campaign. All funds raised by employees, their friends and families, are matched by the company and together they have donated over $2.3 million to charities across North America.
